In this chapter, I provide information on disorders of communication, learning, and motor coordination and their effects on children and adolescents presenting for mental health care. These neurodevelopmental disorders lead to functional limitations in school and neighborhood and negative interactions at home, secondary to issues related to school and other domains. They can be associated with a variety of internalizing and externalizing disorders, causing distress or dysfunction. They are commonly comorbid with other DSM-5 (American Psychiatric Association 2013) neurodevelopmental disorders, especially ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and one another.
